POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM > Remote Up / Down Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the ignition switch is ON and the window lock switch is off, the power window regulator master switch sends remote UP/DOWN signals to the front power window regulator motor (passenger side) via the LIN communication line.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuit related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

1.CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (WINDOW LOCK SWITCH)


    B161801

  1. Turn the window lock switch off and operate the switches on the power window regulator master switch. Check that the remote UP/DOWN function operates normally.

    OK:
    Remote UP/DOWN function operates normally.

Go to step 2

2.CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

  1. Check for LIN communication system DTCs related to the power window control system (Click here).

    OK:
    LIN communication system DTCs are not output.

3.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (MASTER SWITCH)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body / Master Switch / Data List /

  1. According to the display on the tester, read the Data List.

    P Door P/W Up SW
    		Front passenger side power window remote manual UP switch signal / ON or OFF
    		ON: Front passenger side power window remote manual UP switch on power window regulator master switch operated
    OFF: Front passenger side power window switch on power window regulator master switch not operated
    		-
    P Door P/W Down SW
    		Front passenger side power window remote manual DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF
    		ON: Front passenger side power window remote manual DOWN switch on power window regulator master switch operated
    OFF: Front passenger side power window switch on the power window regulator master switch not operated
    		-

    OK:
    The tester display changes normally when master switch is operated.
